Well. I'm home. Sans luggage can you believe it? That's a first. I almost don't care, almost, if it weren't for the 4 pairs of hot shoes and the journal in my suitcase. The trip home was only further proof I should have extended my stay.
Jamaica was everything I remembered and better, especially on my own.
Paradise it is.
Naked in the sun I was...for real
And, it was fun, fun, fun!
Skin salty from the ocean all the time.
Snorkeling, I saw an octopus crawling beneath me.
Fed balled up bread to hundreds of colorful fish,
drawing them around me, swimming and swirling with them
I felt like a mermaid...it was magic...amazing...
Devon, in the moonlight told me "Cat, you look like a doll in storybook to me"
(imagine please, the tropical evening ambience and baritone patois)
Such an unguarded thing, I thought my heart would burst with sweetness.
I and I...Mingle wit all da good people we meet
All lushness and moisture and bright bright heat
I felt like I was strolling in Dali again
Colors dripping and senses overwhelmed.
I took a catamaran
I swam in Pirates Cave and saw a bat and fossils seared in the rock
And then I met J. on my last night, who let's say, took me for a beautiful swim
He's a pisces...it figures...a fish.
I had the vacation of my dreams and I can't stop smiling.
